Delivering Large-Scale Production Without Compromise
The Commercial Product Awards is one of the industry’s most anticipated evenings. Last year, TES was trusted to design, plan, and deliver the full technical production for this flagship event at Viaduct Event Centre in Auckland.
The brief was uncompromising: build a production worthy of the occasion. The night featured dancers, singers, and live performances throughout, a large-scale program that demanded a rig engineered to match.
The screen package anchored the room. A 1.5m x 6m centre screen sat flanked by dual 8m x 4m side screens, each framed with LED battens that unified the visual landscape across the stage. All three screens carried custom-made content produced specifically for the event. Overhead, five LED screen panels fanned out from centre stage across the ceiling, facing down into the room, extending sight lines and reinforcing the scale of the production.

The lighting rig was built around MegaPointe and Mac Viper DX wash fixtures, delivering the dynamic movement, colour, and atmosphere the night demanded. Audio systems were engineered to support the performers seamlessly, dancers and singers alike had the power and reinforcement they needed, with coverage matched precisely to the room’s dimensions and the stage layout. Lighting cues and audio levels were synchronized throughout, creating the cohesion that comes only when one team operates the entire production.
