Three Stages, Three Days
Rolling Meadows 2025 was a multi-stage festival production for SUB180 Entertainment at Bottle Lake in Christchurch. TES was engaged to design, plan and deliver the full technical scope, audio, lighting, visuals, and staging, across all three stages, with the Meadows Stage as the main stage.
Running three stages simultaneously in an outdoor environment demands more than separate technical teams working in parallel. Each stage needs its own crew, signal chain, and timing protocols, but they also need to operate as a single coordinated system. Any disconnection between stages creates operational friction and client visibility issues. We structured the delivery as one integrated team across every stage, which meant consistent standards across the site and a single point of coordination for SUB180 throughout the event.
On the Meadows Stage, audio was anchored by an Adamson S10 line array system, with input sources including Shure ULXD wireless microphones and four Pioneer CDJ-3000 media players, all running through an Allen & Heath dLive S7000 console. The system was designed to deliver coverage and clarity across the open-air environment, where unpredictable conditions can make consistency difficult.
Visuals on the main stage were delivered via a 10m x 4.5m LED wall, constructed from 100 Absen PL V2 panels. At 10 metres wide, the wall held sightlines across the full spread of the festival crowd, while the PL V2’s brightness ensured content stayed punchy from the afternoon sun through to the end of the night. Outdoor LED doesn’t forgive an underpowered spec, this one was built to perform across the full run of the event.
The lighting package brought together a high-output rig of MegaPointe moving heads, K25 and K10 B-Eye washes, Martin Mac Viper Profiles, Robe Esprite profiles, and Showpro LED blinders, all programmed and operated from an grandMA3 full-size console. Outdoor festival lighting demands fixtures that can hold their own in ambient daylight and transition into a full nighttime show, this rig was built to do both. Across all three stages, TES delivered a consistent level of production that gave SUB180 Entertainment the confidence to focus on running the event.
